Prime Minister Orbán congratulates new CDU head
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Saturday congratulated Armin Laschet in a letter on his election as the leader of Germany’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the PM’s press chief said.
“I am convinced that the long-standing cooperation between Fidesz and the CDU has greatly contributed over the past two-and-a-half decades to the development of Hungarian-German ties and the outstanding economic success of our countries,” Bertalan Havasi quoted the prime minister as saying in the letter.
“In this spirit, I am looking forward to working together in the future and I can assure you that you can rely on me and on Fidesz’s support to advance our pragmatic cooperation based on mutual respect,” Orbán said.
He expressed hope that there would be an opportunity to personally discuss in the near future the challenges facing the two political communities as well as Hungary and Germany.

The “good” money is on Armin Laschet – the newly elected leader of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany – succeeding, being elevated to the position, on the retirement of Angela Merkel, to hold the title and the position of Chancellor of Germany.
We hope he will carry on the Legacy of Angela Merkel, using a term of phase Angela Merkel has used publicly when required explaining her Political Position :
“Sometimes I am Liberal sometimes I am Conservative sometimes I am a Christian-Social -, and this is what Defines the CDU.”
Hungary – we must grow and build on our relationship with Germany and maybe – just maybe, the appointment of a male Chancellor of Germany, would be a “fixer” going forward – in the healing and growing of the Hungarian/German relationships.
“
Apart from EU reconstruction funds, Germany and German investment is the other paymaster that Hungary relies upon. The government will not bite the hand that feeds it, despite whatever nationalistic nonsense it pumps out for domestic consumption. When Germany says ‘jump’ the Hungarian government replies ‘how high?’
Anonymous – Good News and may it remain and grow rather than the “in bed” growing expanding relationship Hungary continues to build with China.
Ignorance – the total lack of or inability of people to dissect -the global agendas of China.
Take time to read of China’s treatment of Norway and Australia – in recent times, the Chinese approach to Foreign Trade and Investment – Trade Agreements.
Dangerous – that when the “sleeping dragon” awakes and cracks appear in there positioning in Trade and Foreign Investment – Trade Agreements, relationships take vile and nasty attitudinal directions – that China has a high win ratio – that does leave trading and investment partners – in a LOSS and of a Major Damaged economic and trading position.
REMEMBER – China never Apologize in fall outs relating to conflicts associated in Foreign Investment and Trade and Trading Agreements.
If China – back out for what ever reason – they take the highest of moral and ethical ground – believing they have acted in a Righteous Manner.
